Sonder — Vicinity

The customer service was exceptional. Great views and location, and the place was modern and very clean.

We rented a two-bedroom apartment at the Sonder at Vicinity, and the setup worked really well. It was very clean and in an outstanding location. We had an excellent stay and would definitely book it again on my next trip to Minneapolis.

The apartment was spacious and quiet. Ours had two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, plus a good-sized living area with a table and four chairs and two stools, enough for our family of six to eat. The windows and view were beautiful, and Trader Joe’s is right outside, so we picked up groceries and cooked brunch. Customer service was helpful and accommodating, the app was great, and check-in and checkout were easy. We felt safe there for all five nights with our family of six. I gave it four stars because the pros and cons came out about even. The street parking was awful, though we got lucky and found an underground spot starting the second night. The kitchen looked beautiful, but there wasn't enough cookware to make a full meal. The shower was only in the main bedroom, which felt a bit awkward, and there's no pull-out sofa. We made a comfortable bed on the floor, but just a heads-up. For an expensive place like Sonder, I expected smart TVs. The cable wasn't great, and we wished we could sign into Netflix for movie nights.

The apartment was clean, well furnished, and easy to access. The area is very walkable, with US Bank Metro Station about a five-minute walk away and a Trader Joe's a block from the building. I'd definitely come back.
