Super 54 Inn

The owner seemed clueless and possibly drunk, and was genuinely awful to deal with. I won't get into the whole story, but the room was a complete failure, with basic things not working. He blamed me and wouldn't give me a refund. Don't stop here. Go a few extra miles and stay up in Dodge City. He deserves to go out of business.

The room smelled awful, and the bed was basically a cardboard box on a box spring, with a thin blanket full of cigarette burns. There was someone else's pubic hair all over the dirty shower and stuck to the toilet seat. I wasn't staying in that filth. I asked for another room, but he said no. When I requested a refund, he went to look at the room, then came back and refused, saying I needed to give 24 hours' notice. I left without my money and drove another 95 miles down to Woodward. I was only passing through late at night and had called ahead to ask about checking in late. He said it was okay if I booked through him. Expedia showed decent reviews, so I booked with him instead. I arrived around 11 p.m. and was already questioning the place just from how it looked. The man went into the room first, I guess to check that it had been cleaned after the last guest. This is one of those rooms they don't show in their pictures. I don't know how Super 54 Inn has decent reviews. Maybe they forge them so suckers like me book there. Funny how most of the positive reviews sound very similar.

Quiet, with lots of room to park, and everything we needed to be comfortable. The place was very clean, and the people were friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy, but really comfortable. The bed and pillows were great.

The best thing I can say is there were no bugs. That was the worst mattress I've ever slept on.
