Americas Best Value Inn Zumbrota

The receptionist was really nice, but I still wouldn't stay here again. We left a day early because the beds were hard, the pillows were uncomfortable, and the bathroom had what looked like mold painted over, along with a big bubble in the paint. I knew the rooms were cheap and wasn't expecting much. At night, the AC/heating unit made a noise like our dog scratching the floor every time it turned on.

The Covered Bridge restaurant and bar is right across the parking lot, which was handy, and the food there was good. Driving around town was easy, though the hotel is on the edge of town and about a mile from downtown on foot. The price was very good, and I'd stay here again next time I'm in town. I was visiting family and booked for a few nights. The owners are a very nice, sweet couple, and the staff were attentive when I had a couple of requests. My second-floor room had a king bed, and it was clean and generally well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and there was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and smart TV. The hallways and stairs could have been vacuumed more often; the shower curtain and in-room coffee machine needed a deeper clean too. Breakfast was mostly carbs with some fresh fruit. The coffee wasn't as strong or flavorful as I like, but it did the job. A small outdoor sitting area would have been nice.

OTR truckers, Renee got me into a room fast and appreciates us drivers. The room was the cleanest and most modern I've stayed in, with a fridge, microwave, and big TV. They welcome your puppy co-pilot too. Thanks for being professional, Renee. The free washer and dryer are only 150, and my clothes came out super clean. Truckers, stop here.

The owner was rude and inconsiderate when I arrived. I didn't even get to see the room before he refused me service. Maybe I asked too many questions, he said we could find a better hotel for the price, so that's exactly what I did 👍🏼
