Hilton Garden Inn Destin Miramar Beach

We had no reservation when we stopped here for a night on the way to Key West, but the front desk woman was friendly and made room for us. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a balcony, a big desk, a dining area, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. We accidentally left my husband's watch behind and only noticed hours later. I called and asked if they could hold it until we came back through the following weekend. They did, and after we called to say we might arrive late, the watch was waiting in a safe spot at the front office when we got there after midnight. The staff were honest, kind, and caring. One of the best places we’ve stayed.

We’ve come back for a third stay, and somehow like it more each time. The mattress is great, the pillows are the best, and it’s close to the beach. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. Paul, Tess, and Catalina made meals and bar visits warm, while Maria from housekeeping was especially nice and helpful. Great value. We’ll be back!

The beach is right across the street, which I loved. The gym is pretty basic, though it has weights up to 75, which is decent. I just wish breakfast were included. Overall, a good hotel.

The room itself was clean and nice when I stayed over Spring Break, but I’d booked a balcony room and was given one without a balcony while still paying the balcony-room price. On checkout day, after I’d already left the area, I checked my card because of another issue and saw three charges from the hotel totaling a little over $800. Only two were valid. I haven’t managed to speak with anyone yet, so I may have to contact my credit union.
