Courtyard by Marriott Missoula

The bed was really uncomfortable, and they never mentioned when we asked about the pool and hot tub that the pool wasn't heated and the hot tub didn't work. The night staff member stopped me from going to my pickup for bottled water because he had some right there. I thanked him, then saw $4 per bottle charged to my room. Nothing there is complimentary. We stay in Missoula a lot, but we'll look for somewhere more accommodating and friendly next time.

The water has been shut off until 4:00 pm today, the day we're checking out, with no notice at all. We're traveling all day and can't shower. There were no signs in the hotel or notes under the door, nothing. They told us they couldn't arrange a shower at another hotel because they aren't connected with other facilities. That's simply unacceptable. We even walked past the front desk this morning and said good morning. Nobody said a word.

BED BUGS!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! My friend and I had a little weekend getaway. The hotel looked clean at first and the staff seemed nice, but two days later I had odd bumps all over my body. I searched online and everything pointed to bedbugs. Years ago my family stayed somewhere with bedbugs and my dad was eaten alive, so since then I've checked every hotel bed religiously. The one time I got back late and forgot to check, this happened. Over the next few days the bumps kept appearing and started itching and burning. I called the hotel politely to let them know, but they weren't receptive at all. They said they couldn't prove anything and pest control had checked the week before and found no sign of bugs. If that's true, maybe the inspection wasn't thorough, or there is more to it. At a minimum, I expected a refund and some remorse. They took no action. I tore my whole house apart worrying about it, then looked at other reviews. There are two from eight months ago describing bedbug experiences here, and saying the staff didn't acknowledge them. The hotel pasted the same half-assed response to both. Please be aware and read reviews before booking. I'm covered in bites and wish I didn't have to post this. Horrendous.

Bring earplugs if you stay on the back side. Wind howls there, and the rooms don't seem soundproofed well, either from outside or between rooms. I haven't had this issue at other Missoula hotels and probably won't return. About the dismissive response: I heard no wind anywhere else I visited in Missoula that day, in loud places or quiet ones. If you care about guest feedback, maybe look into a relatively inexpensive way to address this issue in an area that gets hit by high winds. Or don't. Whatever.
