The room was about what I expected and seemed pretty clean. We had a problem with the bathroom light, but they fixed it right away. The pool has a slide and a sort of pirate ship, and is decent. I'd suggest using a tube on the slide: there's a raised connection right before the dark section, and I hit my elbow there. It hurt for a week or two. The hotel is just off the interstate, with Red Robin and a convenience mart/gas station next door.

Whenever we drive across the state, we'll stay here. The hotel had everything going for it, especially the pool with a waterslide and a lifeguard on duty. The hot breakfast was excellent, with waffles, eggs, sausage, and plenty more. The breakfast staff kept it clean and well stocked. They even had a spare toothbrush when we'd forgotten ours.

Jenny at the front desk went above and beyond when an item of ours was turned in to lost and found. We needed it mailed back, and she made that happen. Thank you! The hotel was clean and nice, the beds were comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the Comfort Inn and Suites in Mitchell, SD.

We come here for the slide, and the kids have a blast. The rooms are decent and the continental breakfast is good.

I booked the wrong dates by mistake, and they wouldn't let me change them or cancel. I was charged $109 and never got to use the room. People from different departments apologized and said they hoped I'd book the correct dates next time. I told them I wouldn't use Choice Hotels again, even though I stay with them regularly, and they didn't seem concerned.
