Holiday Inn Express Mitchell by IHG

The pool setup was a hit, especially the saltwater, which was a nice break after a week of overchlorinated pools. The hot tub and kids' splash pad were fun too, though I think the pad was about a foot deep. The big waterslide wasn't running because there was no lifeguard on duty, so call ahead if that matters to you. The kids were fine using the pool floaties instead. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean, and breakfast was hot and tasty. The woman who checked us in wasn't especially friendly, but the male housekeeping staff member was very nice when we checked out that morning.

During the blizzard, the team cleared snow quickly and proactively, which made getting around on our wedding day in such extreme weather much less stressful. We really appreciated how promptly and thoughtfully they handled it. The rooms were clean as well.

Anna, the lifeguard, was wonderful with my son and the other kids. She blew up several inner tubes for them to use on the slide or in the pool, and she clearly cared about their safety. She seems to love both her job and people. The saltwater pool wasn't freezing like some pools are. Beds were soft, maybe too soft in the pillows, and breakfast was good.

The parking lot was huge, which was useful since we came in our truck. Rooms had plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great too. Just know that breakfast wasn't included.
