Hotel 191 - Moab

The room was very clean, though it had a musty odor. Being right beside the road meant we could hear cars passing all night.

We liked having plenty of space in the room, but the bathroom was worn down. The water temperature was backwards, cold when set to hot and hot when set to cold, and it never got very hot. We arrived around 9:00 and found the front desk closed, so we had to locate the entry code they had sent. A note on the door said we'd received a text, but we hadn't. We eventually found the message in our email later. The phone number they gave us didn't work. We got a 50% off deal, and honestly, that felt like what the regular price should be.

The room had such a strong cleaning-product smell when we finally got in that we left the door open to air it out, since the window wouldn't open. After that faded, the place smelled strongly of old feet. We couldn't stay. We'd called to reserve and were told the room would be ready in 30 minutes. When we arrived two hours later, they were only starting to clean it, and it looked as if someone had been living there and was being moved out. There wasn't a front desk, since the upstairs of the hotel was being used as a house. I never write reviews, but I can't believe the positive ones were real. Save yourself the time and hassle and stay somewhere else.

For $58, we got a two queen room, which is a steal in Moab. It was very clean, had a warm shower, coffee, and a microwave, and the front desk was helpful with our reservation. This is mainly a place to sleep and get a hot shower, but it gave us everything we needed and then some. I was pleasantly surprised for the price and can't recommend it enough.
