Baymont by Wyndham Modesto Salida

The people working here were great, helpful, and professional, and aside from the issues I had, my stay was wonderful. The room had a jet tub, which was the best part, and the pool area was small but nice. I decided against swimming because pollen was sitting on the water and dryer sheets were floating in it. Cleaning could be more detailed: there were spider webs in the room corners and dirty bathroom wall borders. The bathroom door wouldn't latch, which made my guest uncomfortable using the restroom, though I'm sure they'll fix it. The location is right off the freeway.

The room smelled of marijuana and vomit, and the shower head came off in my hand, so we had to try to put it back on. The online marketing makes this seem like an upscale place, but the reality on arrival was very different. I'm surprised a hotel in this condition is allowed to be under the WY. If you can choose, I'd strongly recommend another hotel.

Such a cute little hotel! The front desk customer service was appreciated 🙏🏽. The AC, toilet, and one light had some issues, but nothing that changed my life or anything.

The noise made sleeping impossible, even with earplugs. Trains came through all night, and each one shook the walls, with the horn sounding like it was right outside the window. Cars and semi-trucks roared past nonstop too. The hotel is wedged between a freeway and railroad tracks, and the location felt unsafe and poorly planned. It felt like trying to nap in traffic, not like a place to rest. If sleep, peace, or basic comfort matter to you, book somewhere else. Very disappointed.
