Best Western Town House Lodge

The grounds were well maintained thanks to Jorge, and parking was easy. The rooms were very clean and well equipped, and breakfast was good in a nice lobby. Melissa was friendly and checked me in quickly.

I've stayed at several other hotels in the Modesto area, and this one was by far the best. The staff are very accommodating, the hot breakfast is very good, and the rooms are spectacular. I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

The night desk person is amazing, always personable and friendly, and gets us a great room. I've stayed here several times and it's always been great, with clean rooms and a good breakfast in the morning. Parking is tight. The accessible room had a good built-in shower bench, and there was lots of room, though the sink could use more counter space.

I booked through the Best Western website and called ahead to ask if it was okay to make the reservation for my wife when I wouldn't be there. The woman told me it would be fine and that my wife would only need a $100 incidental deposit. But when she arrived, my card hadn't been charged and she couldn't get the room without my credit card. The person who checked her in wasn't helpful and didn't really try to sort it out. I don't recommend a place that tells you one thing on the phone and another in person, especially when it stops you from checking into a room you reserved. No thanks. I'll stay somewhere else next time I'm in Modesto.
