Moline Bell Hotel

We were moved twice because there was no heat or TV, and none of the TVs worked in any of the rooms. Mold covered the place, and dried dead roaches were on the walls. We got locked out at night, when nobody was working, and couldn’t get back into our room. Three other people were locked out too. They refused to refund me. There were lots of disabled people in wheelchairs on the first floor. The fire extinguishers were covered in cigarette butts. If there were a fire at night, I think they’d all be dead, since there’d be no one there to help. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Stay far away. It needs to be shut down.

The photos used to advertise this motel look like they’re from years ago, when it was decent. It’s nothing like what’s advertised now. The rooms are filthy and poorly maintained. The AC works, but turning on the heat brings a horrendous smell. There was no microwave or mini fridge, despite the ads, and no towels or washcloths. It’s disgusting, and charging this much for these rooms should be illegal. 10:10, do not recommend. I would’ve rather slept in my car.

I didn’t realize nobody worked the front desk after midnight. When I arrived to check in, I rang the bell, but no one was there. I called the after-hours number and got the manager, who told me she wouldn’t come check me in. I’d spent the past two days calling to move my reservation and still get a room, but only got a guy who didn’t seem to know his job and said the manager wasn’t there to make it right. I wasted both time and money at this rude, unprofessional, lazy motel in Moline. Trash service.

We ended up losing $80 we really couldn't spare and moving across the street to the Best Western, which was so much better. The first room had dead roaches all over and stained towels. Since refunds weren't allowed, we looked at two more rooms upstairs. One reeked of smoke and damp mold and had mold visible; in the other, the door stayed stuck even though its light turned green. Horrible place, probably the worst. Don't stay here.
