Residence Inn Marriott Moline

The rooms are clean and in good shape aside from some dated carpet, and the pool and hot tub were clean and quiet. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, though it does feel a little dated. My wife, siblings, sister-in-law, and I stayed at the Moline Residence Inn from 10/2/25 - 10/5/25 for the Hennepin Hundred ultramarathon. I'm writing mainly because the staff were outstanding from start to finish. Christina Garzon, who I think is the manager, was especially kind, helpful, and accommodating. We left early Sunday, a day before checkout and well after noon, and she let us leave without a penalty or any questions. Maybe she could tell I could barely walk after the hard race. Hats off to the team. We'll gladly stay again when we're back for another race.

The breakfast is free from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., and it was great and priced right. This feels like a good place for work trips, with a full kitchen and a nice amount of space. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The bed was much too hard for me, and the extra linens were light for the full couch area. The pool was a little cloudy, too. I visit Moline often for work and usually stay at the Axis, but I think I've found my new place.

The people are friendly and eager to please, but this stay didn't feel like good value. I expected the first-class feel of a Marriott property and didn't get it. The hotel seems tired and needs updates, and breakfast was below par.

We checked out at 11:45 on 1/1/26. My husband and I handed the woman at the desk our keys and wished her a Happy New Year as we were leaving. She didn't respond. We looked at each other awkwardly and walked away. It felt rude. You'd think someone in that job would greet people happily instead of looking so angry. Happy New Year, everyone.
