The Inn on Storrs

Jenny Lou went out of her way to sort out my reservation. She's the kind of person who really goes above and beyond. The staff were all super friendly, and our clean, comfortable room made for a great stay. It's convenient to Uconn, and I'd absolutely recommend the hotel.

A good place to crash if you're in town for a UCONN game. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed.

The pool was freezing, and the hot tub was so hot I couldn't even put my feet in. We called the desk and were told someone would come, but nobody showed up in over an hour. Check-in was a mess too. Our room wasn't ready at the stated 4pm time, then the keys didn't work. Once they did, the room still wasn't prepared, with sheets on the floor and no cleaning done. Service was bad throughout. The owners' replies to other reviews make it clear to me that people are describing things accurately. The only reason this place is still operating is families of college students needing somewhere to sleep.

The bathroom was grimy, with a stained sink, mold in the shower grout, and sour-smelling towels that seemed poorly washed. When I reported the problems, the front desk staff just shrugged and gave a half-hearted apology. I left after one miserable night. The room had a musty smell as soon as I opened the door. Roaches ran across the carpet and showed up again by the baseboards later that night. The sheets had tiny dark marks that looked like possible bedbug evidence, and I woke with several itchy bites on my arms and legs. This place should be avoided.
