Spring Hill Inn

Spring Hill Inn is close to campus, and the bus line makes it easy to get straight to UConn. I stayed there while visiting for a conference. My room felt cozy, with warm decor, comfortable bedding, an updated bathroom, and everything was very clean. The breakfast could use more care. The yogurts were expired, and the store-bought pastries felt out of place for a historic bed and breakfast. For a clean, safe, cozy stay at a reasonable price, I’d recommend it. If you’re hoping for New England hospitality that goes above and beyond, though, you may want to look elsewhere.

We chose this charming Inn for our anniversary and had a lovely time. Dinner was wonderful, and our warm, cozy room was clean with everything in working order. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We also tried the Sunday Brunch menu, where everything was freshly prepared and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. We’re hoping to return in spring when we can enjoy the outdoor patio dining.

The inn is beautiful, and my room was lovely, clean, and comfortable. I was in town for a wedding, so its convenient location worked well. I was initially a little nervous about the contactless check-in and checkout and getting the keys from a lockbox, but it turned out to be super easy. They had a small continental breakfast with muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and tea. No complaints at all. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The sweetheart room felt homey and beautiful, and the cleanliness really stood out. I even walked around barefoot, which I never do. The sheets were so soft and comfortable, like butter. Lee and Diane were kind and accommodating, and we really needed that time together. I’d absolutely return. I only wished there had been a microwave, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. ❤️
