I’d stay here again. The front desk worked with me and my service dog even though they didn’t have a first-floor room available. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great-smelling interior, a big TV with lots of channels, and an excellent shower.

We didn’t feel comfortable going down to breakfast after the way the manager treated us. She was coughing dramatically when she said we smelled like cigarette smoke and told us to move back. We did, but then she made us wait for the next person to come on shift and check us in. When my husband spoke with that employee, the manager came back and yelled at him, and by then she had stopped coughing and seemed fine. I felt the manager lied about what happened. I called corporate and asked them to check the cameras, but nothing came of it. We also paid extra for a room based on the photos, and the room we got wasn’t the one shown. I’ll never stay at a Choice hotel again.

We were in town to visit relatives and stayed for two nights. The breakfast was very good, and both the room and staff were great. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The bed was much too hard for me, though, so I’d probably come back only if my first choice wasn’t available.

We got almost no sleep because the mattress was so hard, and even the complimentary breakfast was bad enough that my wife and I threw out our food after one bite. The room had a strong smell, the AC wouldn’t cool it, the towels were dirty, the couch was stained, and the remote was broken and taped up. When my wife reported those problems, we got a replacement remote that was taped up even more, plus clean towels. It was nearly 10 at night by then, and with nowhere else available we tried to make do. Later, when we turned on the jacuzzi, pieces of its outer wall fell off. While cleaning up, I found old candy stuck to the floor near the fridge and dirt and grime in the corners. We’d already eaten and it was almost midnight, so we stayed rather than sleep in the car. At checkout I explained everything in detail to the front clerk. He wrote it down, charged us full price, and said he’d send it to the manager. Four days later someone else called and offered 25% off a future stay. Why would I come back? She refused a refund, raised her voice, and talked over me while I tried to explain how miserable the night had been. This place used to be nice a couple of years ago. Now the staff walk around in pajamas and give dirty looks when you ask for something. Between that service and the awful condition of the rooms, it felt no better than a local motel by the projects where people party. The owner’s reply still says we didn’t report the problems at checkout, which is false. I also brought them up on the phone, and the response that we should have said something was ridiculous. It’s laughable that the owner thinks it’s acceptable to rent a room in this condition. Don’t stay here.
