The Inn Forza

The “non-smoking” room 203 smelled strongly of cigarettes, and I had no other place to sleep because every other hotel was booked. I arrived late Saturday, 5/3, and would have asked for a refund right away if I’d had another option. One bed had a hole and crack in the headboard, and the bed itself was broken somewhere in the middle. There was also a cigarette burn on the bedspread. Recessed lights were coming out of the ceiling, outlets weren’t fitted properly over the holes in the wall, the toilet seat was broken, and a large scrape marked the wall by the extra chair. I managed about four hours of sleep out of desperation, and my clothes reeked of cigarettes. At checkout I told the desk clerk how unhappy I was. He just shook his head sadly and muttered, “yeah.” I was disgusted with the stay and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

The room was very clean, but the lumpy mattress felt kind of high to me at 5'10", and there was nowhere to sit except the bed.

Mom and I left before even sleeping and demanded our money back. The hotel staff refused, but thankfully we had room insurance through another source and got our money back, plus some. The room smelled so bad we were gagging violently, the sink wouldn’t drain at all, and the walls were falling apart. There were pieces of duct tape on the door, sized like they could cover someone’s mouth. The beds had hair and who knows what else on them. We saw powder stains on the wall and unknown liquid stains on the desk chair. We felt very unsafe with people lurking in the hallway, and the back door had been propped open for no good reason. This place is a dump. I hope the health department finds it and shuts it down.

We only stayed one night, so we couldn’t explore much, but we had a pleasant visit. The receptionist was very sweet and handled things nicely. The room was spacious, neat, clean, and good for the price. We liked it a lot, especially the nice views from the windows.
