For $80 a night for one bed, I’d rather sleep in my car. This place is awful and not worth the money. A week costs barely more than one night, which is crazy. The water never got cold even after I ran the bath for 30 minutes, and it smelled so strongly of chlorine that I came out smelling like a dirty pool. The bedsheets and blankets smelled like a jail, were stained, and felt itchy. There was even a piece of moldy bread under the desk, and dust and stains covered every surface. The table looked like someone had WWE hulksmashed it. The insulation was terrible. People stood outside our door talking at the top of their lungs for hours, on multiple days in a row, even though some guests work nights. The room was bright, the curtains were bad, and the pillows were nearly flat, so it’s not a good choice if you work nights. The chain lock had been ripped off the door, and the window screen was broken. There was no breakfast, and it’s clear the room wasn’t cleaned well. Don’t stay here.

The location felt sketchy, and the room was filthy, with visible trash on the indoor-outdoor carpet. There was mold in the old coffee left in the pot, which must have been there for days. The water wouldn’t get hot. Just nasty.
I actually drove from Pecos to stay here because it had a smoking room, which is hard to find around here if you don’t book early in the day. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the room was. It had been remodeled, the furniture looked new, the bed was very comfortable, and the place was clean and quiet. The woman at the desk was very nice. I’ll be back next time work brings me to the area.
The room itself was really nice, and when I brought up the double charge, they handled it properly. I’d been charged once by Priceline, which was the best way to book this spot, and again by the hotel. My wife and I were also put in a room with two double beds. It’s behind a truck stop, so there’s some noise, and a few of the weekly residents were a bit bothersome. Still, it was worth the $50 for a place to sleep that night.
We needed somewhere quick because my husband is a pipeliner, so we didn’t have much choice. It cost $687 a week, and they didn’t come clean the room. We stayed in one room for the whole first week. I cleaned it myself, which didn’t really bother me, but I had to track down the housekeeper to get clean towels. Then, the day before we were supposed to pay for another week, the sewer backed up and flooded our room with two inches of sewage. We had to argue with the bitter woman at the front desk to move us, even though the flood wasn’t our fault. The next morning she banged on my door demanding payment and saying, “You don’t get your stuff till you pay me,” so I had to interrupt my husband at work to pay by phone. He paid her for another week instead of nearly $300 for one night. She threw it in my face that she’d done us a favor by moving us. We paid for the week but are leaving tomorrow, and I doubt we’ll get a refund. The second room is nasty too, with dirty washcloths in the shower and gum on the wall by the bed. I’ve never seen a dirtier motel. The health department needs to look at it, and the manager needs customer service training. The housekeeper was super nice, even though she doesn’t speak English.
