Quality Inn Monee I-57

I've stayed here several times, and the staff have always taken great care of me. They're professional and helpful, and consistently make sure I get the best rates. The overnight lady is lovely, patient, and welcoming, and the gentleman on mornings is just as kind and professional. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the service is top tier for the price. They handle everything smoothly every time I stay. I really appreciate that. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences around here, and I highly recommend it. I'll add pictures and a better message later, but had to rate them now because they're phenomenal!

I booked and paid for a weekend swimming trip with my kids days in advance, but when we arrived they said there was a $100 deposit. I also invited family to come swim without staying, and the manager wouldn't let us use the pool unless the other people left. The hotel was basically empty, and all I wanted was a swimming weekend for the kids. I came here three years ago and did this with no issues.

We were so disgusted that we checked out right after our event, even though we'd only been there for about 30 minutes. I took a couple of pictures while we were there. The rooms were insanely dirty, dusty, moldy, and broken. It looked like they might not have proper cleaning staff, and were just, hopefully, changing the sheets and refilling old soap dispensers when needed. Paying $122 for one night was atrocious. I wouldn't even call this a 2-star hotel.

The room had bedbugs. I woke up with bites, checked the bed, and found live bugs near the headboard. It's completely unsanitary and shocking that this location is operating under the Quality Inn name. I also had trouble with the confirmed booking rate. Staff tried to charge more, then acted like I was the problem when I questioned it instead of correcting the mistake. When I asked for help and a refund, they were dismissive and unprofessional, with no urgency, apology, or accountability. My stay at this Quality Inn was unacceptable from start to finish. This location needs a full inspection by management and possibly the health department. Don't stay here unless you want to deal with overcharging, insects, and staff who don't care about guests.
