I took two rooms, one single and one double, for a visit with family, and had a very pleasant stay. The brand new rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated. The staff were welcoming, the property felt safe and well maintained, and I appreciated the overall value. I'd gladly stay again.

The lady checking me in couldn't stop yapping on her cell phone. Very professional. Then they charged a $100 deposit for an $80 room, which should be $40 or $50, and it's been almost a week with no refund as of 3/9/26. The hotel I stayed at the night after this place had its deposit back on my card within 48 hours, so it's not my bank, it's yours. You should tell people at check-in it will take a week to get it back, not a day or two. I'll never stay here again and advise you not to either. Go across the street or up to the next exit, there's plenty to choose from.

The cleaning staff were so loud in the mornings, slamming doors and yelling in the hallways. There were ants in the room, and the hotel was extremely dirty. The fridge made loud noises that made it hard to sleep. This place just sucked in every way.

The female manager's unfair practices at this location are why I'm writing this review. I believe they violated Illinois consumer laws, and if this isn't resolved, I'll file complaints with the Illinois Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. They withheld my deposit multiple times without telling me why, keeping it more than once for the same kind of offense: vaping. Meanwhile, the hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and Marijuana. Vaping technically isn't the same as smoking because it aerosolizes liquid instead of burning tobacco. If they'd simply informed me, the cardholder who paid for the room, the issue could have been resolved after the first offense and wouldn't have happened repeatedly. It's unfortunate, since we booked at this location frequently. Their shady business tactics and failure to communicate have lost them our business. In the long run, they're going to lose more money than they cheated me out of.
