Super 8 Monmouth Il

We were disappointed and felt ripped off. I had my two babies and two strollers, but they put us on the second floor and I couldn’t find an elevator, so we had to carry everything upstairs. The ice machine didn’t work either. Breakfast was supposed to be free, but there were only three cheap Mr freshly honey buns for two adults and four kids, and I could only get half a cup of coffee. My son also wanted to use the pool, but there was no water in it, so it wasn’t available.

The place was really dirty and smelled of smoke and marijuana everywhere. I didn’t feel safe there, and I wouldn’t recommend it to families or contractors. They weren’t serving breakfast at all. I saw the good reviews, but I think they’re fake. No more Super 8 for me. Cheap hotel, very cheap service. DO NOT STAY.

I checked out right away because smoke and marijuana smells were all through the room and hallway. Other guests were smoking and cooking outside, and the hotel didn’t feel safe. Our room was dirty and had beg bugs. I asked for a refund but never got one, and the staff weren’t helpful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We were driving overnight and got tired, so the manager gave us a good deal. The bed was comfortable and the customer service was excellent. I wasn’t keen on the room air freshener, but a spray of my perfume covered the smell and then it was fine. There was no coffee at 5 a.m.
