The value was outstanding for what I paid, easily a five-star experience for the price. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced for NYC, especially for solo travelers, couples, or young families and friends. The location is central and convenient for getting around Manhattan. Nothing went wrong during my stay, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and gave the kind of care I’d expect at a more expensive luxury hotel. My Bonvoy status may have helped a bit, but the service still felt genuine.

We wanted a clean hotel in a good location, and it delivered on both. The rooms were clean and spacious, but had no view. Oddly, there wasn’t a trash bag in the bathroom bin. Maybe that’s just a NYC thing, I’m not sure. The front desk also had no umbrellas or rain ponchos to borrow or buy. Still, it’s a good place to stay if you want to walk around Manhattan.

I stayed in a king room, which was just right for a solo traveler but would feel tight for two. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were excellent. There are laundry facilities, which is great, and the location is good, just four blocks from the train station.

Our family of four spent two nights here last weekend on a quick city trip. The hotel was quiet, even though it’s in a busy area, and the bathrooms have doors, unlike some newer Marriott designs. We appreciated both. The rooms were a good size, and having a key card needed to enter the hotel and each floor made us feel safe. It was easy to walk to major attractions and the subway. There were plenty of bagel and pizza places nearby, and the hotel cafe serves food as well as beer and other drinks at night. TVs around the hotel showed all the major games. Staff were extremely friendly and quick to respond to our questions and requests. We’d definitely stay again!

My wife and I appreciated how Crystal checked us in quickly and smoothly. She was warm, helpful, and informative, and remembered to ask for my Marriott number so she could update my account. The front desk staff were kind and smiling, too. Our room was on the 10th floor facing the inside of the building, so the view wasn’t great, but having a mini fridge was a win. The rooms are very compact, there’s no free breakfast, and the ice machine wasn’t on our floor. The lobby and bar area have nice decor and a fair amount of seating. The hotel is off 37th and 8th, within walking distance of Vito’s Slices and Ices on 9th and 36th. Their slices are always on point. It’s also around the corner from Chef Yu and T-Mobile.
