A winter storm shut down the whole town, so our planned one-night stop on the way from TX to GA turned into an extra night. With four young kids, the unexpected delay could have been tough, but the staff made it a fun, unplanned vacation. We got to know them well, and Michael, the hotel owner, runs a great operation. The whole staff treated us so well and were five-star. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and quiet. Our two adjoining rooms worked really well for the family. They felt vintage yet modern, and the lobby and restaurant are stunning. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. 5/5 stars!

Lauren, the bartender, took excellent care of us and shared the building’s history, including how much heart the current owners put into renovating it. You can see that care throughout. Everyone I met was welcoming and seemed happy to be there. I’ve fallen in love with this hotel. It raises the bar for other Tapestry hotels. Great job!

Jasmine at the front desk turned our quick stop into a VIP experience. My mother-in-law had heard good things about the hotel while we were in town for the holidays, but hadn’t visited, so she suggested driving by. I said we should stop in. Jasmine was so friendly and welcoming. She told us about the hotel’s history, showed us the beautiful spaces from the rooftop and ballroom to the meeting and guest rooms, and answered all our questions about stays and private events. We were treated like royalty, and it felt like the best Christmas gift we could have gotten. We complimented the decor, a lovely mix of history and updates, and she told us about the owners and how wonderful they are to work for. As a small business owner who cares about supporting places with an inclusive, ethical, positive culture, I was glad to hear that. My favorite moment was Jasmine saying how good the water was. We passed a cup around, and honestly, we all agreed, “Oh gosh, this IS good water!” My father-in-law even went back for seconds. If there’s an employee of the month, we nominate Jasmine. She’s a perfect example of hospitality. The interior design made me want to get married a second time, to my current husband, of course. Great job, team, and thank you, Jasmine! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽

The friendly staff deserve credit, but the view from my room was a brick wall. I’d rather stay beside a freeway or parking lot at a roadside hotel than look at that. I understand this hotel is part of an economic development effort in downtown Monroe, but when I get away from downtown, I want a break from a deteriorated, run-down area like the one where I work. I live in a city where people party all year while the streets fall apart. At $300 a night, including parking, I expected better amenities than a brick wall.

It was our last stop on a ten-day road trip, and I needed a good place to rest as a busy real estate agent from Birmingham, Alabama who’s always on call, even on vacation. The hotel was beautiful and new, the rooms a bit tight but nice, and everything was clean. The staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, especially Bishop. Both front desk attendants were delightful, real Mississippi hospitality in Louisiana. Our one complaint was breakfast. Only one waitress was trying to serve the entire place, so we went elsewhere to eat. Highly recommend the hotel.
