Best Western Inn

This place is right at the north end of a small County Airport. Between 7:45 and 8:30, at least seven planes flew less than 100 feet above my room. I'm not used to that much noise, and I'm not comfortable being so close to air traffic overhead. I can't imagine why this little one-strip airport is so busy at this time of night.

The location works perfectly for my project at Alabama River Cellulose, a paper plant nearby. It's only a 20-minute drive to the site, and I'm gone most of the day. Breakfast at 5am is ideal, but room cleaning has been disappointing. They replace the towels, but stopped changing the sheets after doing it twice during my first three days. I've now gone 4-5 days without clean sheets, and keep returning to old, untucked bedding. I told the front desk and was assured it would be handled, but when I came back today, nothing in the room had been done. It feels like they got mad that I asked and skipped my room. I just wish they'd be consistent about cleaning and changing the sheets. For more than a week, I'd stay elsewhere. For a couple of days, this place may be fair.

Great job, Best Western in Munroeville. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the customer service was wonderful. Breakfast was good, too, with lots of choices, including hot food like waffles from the maker and sausages and eggs on the buffet trays. Five out of five stars.

I enjoyed this work trip, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked just fine, and I had no problems beyond wishing the room were cleaner. There were dead bugs and a spider in the bathroom, hair in a few spots, and the tub was cracked and peeling. These aren't things I usually worry about, but I wanted to be honest in the review. The service was excellent, breakfast was enjoyable, and the room was neat and interesting. Thank you, and God bless.
