The reservation had already been fully paid, but the front desk employee refused to check us in because my companion, who was visiting the United States temporarily, didn't have a valid U.S. ID. His attitude was rude and unprofessional. When I asked for a supervisor, he raised his voice and made comments implying we were “illegal.” That was offensive and discriminatory, and no one deserves to be treated like that. It was humiliating and disappointing. It's troubling that a company would let staff make discriminatory remarks to customers. If you want to avoid disrespectful treatment and a bad experience, consider another nearby hotel.

The front desk person and the service overall deserve five stars. Still, I wouldn't recommend this motel for a family. If you're alone or with friends and just need a roof for one night, it could be an option for the price. Expect neither very clean surroundings nor a lobby and area free of cigarette smell.

They kept telling us to call back each day to ask a manager about the refund. For more than a week, the answer was that the manager “wasn't there” and to try again tomorrow. After all that time, they finally said there would be no refund. Our reservation was mishandled, and rather than take responsibility or fix it, they left us scrambling at the last minute with no help. Customer service was awful: no empathy, no solution, and no willingness to make things right. Mistakes happen, but the way a business handles them matters, and this hotel failed completely. I'd strongly advise staying elsewhere. Plenty of hotels value their guests and handle problems professionally; this isn't one of them.

The king room was gross, with stained carpet, a terrible smell, and an air conditioner so busted I was afraid to turn it on because who knows what was in there. The bed sagged so badly in the middle that my husband and I rolled toward the center. We booked it at the last minute about three weeks ago, and paid over $100 for that nasty room. Then we paid the same price at a LaQuinta for a spotless, comfortable king suite with breakfast. Only stay here if you absolutely have to.
