The bathwater ran yellow, which was completely unacceptable with babies traveling with us. The entertainment system couldn't connect to the internet either. When we asked the on-site staff member for help, she said she “didn't have time” because she was preparing for another event. She said she'd get in touch after checkout to see what she could do, but never did. We booked a family suite at The George expecting a top-tier boutique stay. Our first impression was good, but the maintenance and service soon fell short. For a property presenting itself as a premium boutique hotel, neglected upkeep, broken amenities, and staff too occupied to deal with basic guest needs aren't acceptable. We came looking for excellent hospitality and didn't get it. The George didn't put hospitality first, and other boutique hotels do a better job of delivering quality and attentive service.

The library fireplace room was such a nice spot to sit, chat, or play board games, and there's a great breakfast spread with generous hours. We also enjoyed the evening wine service, chocolate chip cookies at check-in, and all the ice cream and candy. The rooms are cute and the whole place has loads of charm. Bloomfield Ave, with tons of restaurants, is just a short walk away. What an amazing place to stay, I highly recommend it!

We were in town for Oasis at Met Life, and The George made a perfect base. A museum mansion and gardens across the street are lovely for a morning walk, and downtown restaurants and shops are close by. The Inn is small, with glamorous yet traditional decor and thoughtful details. Breakfast, wine hours, and little extras like fresh baked cookies made the stay special. We can't wait to return and spend more time in the area. Highly recommend!

We stayed two nights with a wedding party and were met with so much love and support right away. The staff were incredible and felt like family. The atmosphere and accommodations were just right, and breakfast was delicious and generous. It was the perfect place for a wonderful weekend. We're so grateful!

The evening wine service was a lovely way to decompress after traveling with a newborn, and the candy closet made snack sneaking feel fun again, except it was encouraged. We stayed in The Ed, which felt cozy but still modern, with a great bed and thoughtful little details. The staff were warm and helpful without hovering. The whole place has the feel of a friend’s wildly cool mansion instead of a standard hotel. There’s exposed brick, vintage decor, portraits everywhere, and so many details that seem picked out with care. My wife, the baby, and I had a great stay, and we’re already talking about coming back.
