We were impressed by breakfast, especially the omelette station, with plenty of other choices like pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, and juice. Dinner at Flagstones Restaurant was excellent too, and the service there was great. Our room at the Crowne Plaza Suffern was spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay again.

The morning staff were really friendly, and the lobby and room were clean enough that we settled in right away. Still, the first-floor location made the night rough. Our windows faced the lobby, with just tint and a curtain between us and it, so we heard carts, suitcases, people talking, and repeated bangs and thuds. Some of the noises nearby sounded so much like gunshots that they startled me awake. I also woke several times when doors slammed close by. The room picked up a BO smell around 8, which I assumed came from the breakfast area, and I hoped we wouldn’t leave smelling that way. I had a sound machine, which helped a little. I partly blame myself for choosing a ground-floor room, but I hadn’t expected this placement or noise. I think another woman mentioned the same problem in an earlier review. The hotel was clean and reasonably comfortable, and the location right off the highway was quiet, so I’d consider coming back. I’d definitely request another floor, though. We started the day tired from not sleeping well.

After work, I could relax in the huge lobby with my laptop and grab a drink or something to eat. The room was a decent size, and the staff were friendly. I was in Suffern for work, and getting to my workplace was easy since the hotel is right off the highway.

Our guests loved the Welcome Party, and the hotel gave us space for it along with comfortable accommodations and delicious food. We had booked a wedding block there. The setting was lovely and surrounded by nature, and the hotel itself is beautiful, especially the waterfall in the middle of the lobby. Thanks to Alexa, Heather, and Kaitlin for making the stay feel so special for us.

Our bartender Chantal was a gem, and the staff were friendly. The room itself was a different story. The heater kept kicking on noisily during the night and jolting us awake, so my wife barely slept. The pillows were too thick and left her with a sore neck in the morning. To start the shower, you have to step into it, switch it on, then jump back out of the cold water. The design is bad, and there were no USB chargers in the room. With that heater, I can’t recommend staying here.
