Cannery Row Inn

A beach right across the street and a short, beautiful walk to Fishermans Wharf and Cannery Row make this a great location. The room was immaculate, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Check-in and checkout were easy. This was my second stay, and I'll definitely be back.

We stayed three nights in a clean room that didn't feel outdated and even had a small balcony. The check-in process was smooth and contactless, with a door code sent by text once the room was ready. The location is superb, less than about half a mile from most of the main attractions, including Fisherman's Wharf and the aquarium. Parking costs extra, as it seems to at many hotels around here. Most spaces are beneath the building, which makes the fee feel more worthwhile. Parking is tight, but half-ton trucks fit in the uncovered spaces. They could add a complimentary breakfast bar, but at this price that wasn't a deal breaker for me.

The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and it's a great location. The place is kid-friendly, and we had a coffee maker in the room plus an outdoor water dispenser. I wish they'd kept the continental breakfast, and the internet connection wasn't great. I'd also suggest adding a few rollaway beds and dropping the parking charge. You can hear other people opening doors, but not their voices.

Steps from Cannery Row shops and very convenient for scuba diving from San Carlos Beach. The room was clean, though quirky and tired, and the outdoor balcony hallways could use fresh carpeting. Overall the hotel felt worn but was convenient, with good parking. Check-in and checkout were automated, so I can't comment on the service.
