La Quinta Inn By Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport

I'm staying in hotels while my house is being repaired after a fire, and I could pick pricier places on the insurance company's dime. I've done that before, but I like this place better. For what you pay, it's probably the best deal near the airport. The rooms are consistently clean, and I just need a comfortable bed, a working TV, and a hot shower. Some areas look dated, but it works for me. Staff are nice, breakfast starts at 4 AM for early departures, and they offer a free airport ride, though I haven't used it.

The room and the whole inn feel very old, and for the price I expected better upkeep. There aren't many outlets, so finding a place to charge things is hard. The shower took ages to build pressure and run normally, and we found bugs here and there on a spare mattress they gave us. Staff were quick, kind, and attentive. It's also a convenient location near the airport and one of the cheaper inns around. Breakfast begins early, around 4 AM, which helps if you're on a very early flight. Three stars feels about right. The maintenance issues could be addressed somehow, and they aren't the staff's fault.

Parking was plentiful, though the lot filled up, and they let guests use the neighboring vendor's lot. The hotel sits right by the main road, which is convenient. Staff were nice, and check-in was easy, either online or through their message system. They allow check-in until 5 AM. Wi-Fi is free and doesn't need a password.

A few food chains are within walking distance, and the airport is easy to reach. Everything went smoothly, from the shuttle and check-in to breakfast and checkout. The rooms were clean, and there were no complaints for a budget-friendly airport stay. The receptionist, "Happy," seemed to live up to the name, greeting everyone with a cheerful smile.
