Carolina Inn & Suites at Lake Norman

We got stranded in Charlotte overnight when our flight was canceled, with nowhere to go and our family in tow. The front desk people were amazing and helped us right away, letting us check in and leave the next morning without any trouble. We got some sleep in a quiet, clean place for a great price. We’ll stay here next time we’re in the area.

The room seemed recently updated, but everything had a light film of dust, as if it had been sitting unused for a month or two. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good, though the highway made it a little noisy. The price was fantastic, I felt safe, and breakfast was included, so I can’t really complain. Thanks, Carolina Inn. I’ll choose you again when I’m nearby. Local business is the best business!

The owners and staff know the area well, and they’re quick and polite if you need anything. You can tell the owners have kept up the rooms and property, which is a real credit to their hospitality. The rooms have been updated recently. It was clean, quiet and very nice. The lobby felt tranquil, almost spa-like. Check-in was simple, with no push to sign up for a credit card or rewards program. I like a no-frills place with basic comforts and genuine Southern hospitality, which you don’t see much anymore. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’d give Carolina Inn more stars if I could. I’ll come back to support a locally owned independent business. Wishing them many more successful years!

It was an affordable place to stay for the night. My husband died last week, and this was the first night I’ve actually slept since then. Keep in mind I’m on the road, so that could be why, lol.
