SpringHill Suites Charlotte Lake Norman/Mooresville

The room was clean and acceptable, but could use a refresh. Renovations were going on, so the common areas were a bit dusty. The Krueger coffee machine in the room didn't work, and I don't like that it's not environmentally friendly. There wasn't any tea, either. The gym is tiny, with two treadmills, and one had a torn mat, though I was glad there was a gym at all. The location is convenient, and the room was okay. Breakfast had gluten-free oatmeal, fruit, and healthy sides, but no bacon for my husband.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was a nice, complimentary meal before getting back on the road. It's close to the highway. The room looked dated and worn, though I saw a sign saying renovations are starting, so I'd probably give it five stars if we returned after the updates. One request for the owners: please add more hooks for wet towels during the renovation.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable enough, but the place feels dated. There were stains on both the carpet and couch. We had to pay extra for the in-room jacuzzi because the regular rooms were full, and it was an eyesore. The front desk wouldn't bring extra pillows up, so we had to go down and get one ourselves. I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff were awesome and comfortable to deal with. When I had a shower issue, they handled it right away. I also came back from picking up dinner and realized I had no plastic utensils, and the hotel staff sorted that out for me.
