Bally's Vicksburg Casino Hotel

Dale, one of the casino servers, was a delight and really stood out during our visit. We stayed for the weekend. The hotel is dated, but adequate.

The whole visit was frustrating and took a lot of time and energy. This isn't about losing money: I was down only $40, while my husband won a few hundred. Bally's needs to clean house. The hotel is run down, there's no elevator, and even though we asked for a non-smoking room, ours reeked of smoke. At the front desk, a rude clerk gave us key cards that didn't work, refused the $20 promotion, and had an attitude. The Players Club attendant was rude too. She didn't know about promotions, so I downloaded the app and got a $5 offer that never loaded. She couldn't help, and I never received it. Getting a drink at the casino bar was another hassle. I waited about 30 minutes before a woman finally told me she'd be right there, while continuing to talk to someone who was playing. Drinks were free, but finding staff to order one was hard. Later, the interior walkway to the hotel was closed because of staff shortages, so we had to leave the casino and walk down the parking lot to get there. Not worth the time or money.

There's a nice river view at this quaint casino. It has fewer games than the other Bally's properties I've visited.

The staff were kind, and Ms. Hope even came over and personally showed us to our room. Sherri was also at the hotel front desk and was lovely. The hotel is older and could use an update, but my bed was comfortable and I slept well, despite the reviews making me a little nervous before I arrived. The casino was great and the machines paid out. My husband hit a jackpot. We liked the grill food, too. I didn't catch the name of the young woman working there, the one with glasses and long braids. She was really busy and some people were rude to her, but she kept smiling and gave great service. We'll come again, 10 out of 10.
