The pool was the reason I booked, but after a 23-minute hold while the overseas call center checked whether it was open, I arrived to find it closed. They said they were located overseas and didn't know anything about the hotel. I booked a king bed but got two queens, and my receipt compared with the card statement shows I was charged $100 more. On arrival, one staff member was very rude. If I were a manager reviewing video, I wouldn't want them on staff, though everyone else was pleasant. There are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, so don't plan on bringing food, drinks, or leftovers. There's no number to reach anyone at the hotel about the overcharge or to speak with a manager. I'd avoid this place.

The staff were hospitable, it was pet-friendly, and our room was spacious, but the place is very outdated. We had a two-room suite, and the pullout mattress was paper thin with springs sticking out. We put it on the floor with cushions underneath just to get some comfort, but it still wasn't comfortable. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and unreliable. The jacuzzi tub was disgusting, with a dead bug in it and black stuff around the edges, clear signs it hadn't been cleaned or used in a long time. The pool was out of commission too, which was a shame. Breakfast was very good.

The rooms were clean and the staff were nice, but there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The pool was closed. Overall, it was fair.

I'm from SC and came to visit in September. The staff are so caring and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere feels like family as soon as you walk in. I travel alone and usually spend most of my time in my room, but I feel safe and comfortable here at Moose Lake lodge. Best place to stay.

The town is cute, but this hotel is a hard pass. I stayed in June of 2025. The pool and hot tub were out of order, and the broken key card lock on the side entrance left it open to the public. The mattress was comfortable, despite blood stains covered by okayish bedding. The suite's jacuzzi was filthy. I stupidly used it anyway and got an immediate bladder infection.
