We truly loved our stay at this lodge, especially the location and experience. The people were nice, and the new GM seemed nice too. I hope Aramark adds what the place needs. More amenities would help, such as a hot tub, more food options at the market, and propane. They’re missing a big opportunity by not offering more. We’ll be back!!!!

Best money I’ve spent on a vacation in a long time. I did two winter snowmobiling packages back to back: three days of guided trail riding to acclimate to the altitude, which worked really well for me, then three days of guided backcountry riding. I love riding off trail, and going with the best made sense. Ed, guide delivered big time. He worked with my abilities while pushing me, and yes, I got stuck. You’re not trying if you don’t. The sleds all ran great, so the crew is top notch. The lodge and food were excellent. I work hard for my money and can only take a vacation now and then, so it meant a lot to be helped by people who care. The staff made me feel welcome the whole time. Hands down, a great value and a great time!

We came in December specifically to snowmobile on our own sleds. The location gets 5 stars from me for that, though it feels like the business has a monopoly on the area. Aramark Corporation owns Togwotee and, according to Google, doesn’t own the land. I haven’t researched that further. The lodge charged a lot, and as a family, whatever you expect to spend could end up costing double. The rooms get 2 stars. They’re dated, the shower heads barely flow, sinks drain poorly, walls are thin, and lighting is dim. I’ve stayed in much worse, though. At the concierge desk, one gentleman was very considerate and helpful. The two women couldn’t seem to care less. We asked some questions that earlier guests had probably asked, but it was our first time asking them. They seemed annoyed, were rude and distracted by the computer. It felt like they were just there for a paycheck until something else came along. Food choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner were limited. Stay 5+ days and the menu will get old. Some food was good, but during our week we sent meals back 4 times because they were cold to the touch. I don’t think the servers were responsible, since we weren’t the only guests with that experience, and maybe the problem has been fixed since. We got a 25% discount once. Prices were very high, though I suppose that’s to be expected given the location and that staying here to snowmobile is 100% optional. Parking outside the lodge was limited and poorly organized. It was manageable, but be ready to carry gear a long way if you stay in the lodge. We didn’t stay in a cabin, so I can’t comment on those. The gas station worked normally, but 91 octane was 5.08 per gallon during our stay. Maybe that’s expected too. We’ve stayed in lots and lots of places across the United States and Canada, and I can say with 100% certainty we won’t stay here again. I’m not saying the whole facility is a failure, but changes are needed. I’ve seen other reviews get an owner’s reply saying “thank you for your stay,” and I’m sure I’ll get the same. According to Google, Sasha Day is Aramark’s president. Maybe instead of the keyboard warrior reply, she could meet me at the lodge for some cold biscuits and gravy. Regards.

The location deserves 5 stars, the cabins are decent for the money, and the food isn’t worth what they charge, in my opinion. My friend had to rent a sled, and while we waited at the rental shop I noticed a few older staff members talking to customers pretty rudely. It doesn’t look professional and will definitely put people off the sport.

The staff were kind and accommodating, but the service lacked the charm you want from the hospitality industry. The restaurant food was terrible, so we had to travel elsewhere for meals, which was inconvenient. Everything is overpriced for what you get, and the lodge seems to have gone downhill fast from when it used to be a great place to visit. Deferred maintenance is everywhere. The corporate owners need to focus on repairs throughout the lodge, cabins, and restaurant, and try the food so they can make needed changes. Our cabin barely stayed warm. The shower was dirty, with a soap scum ring I could scratch with my fingernail. There was dust on surfaces that hadn’t been touched daily and flies in the window sills, though the linens were clean. We’ve stayed in much cheaper places with spotless rooms, paper towels, rugs or boot trays for melted snow by the entrance, and plenty of hooks beyond just the door. There’s so much I’d do if this were my lodge!
