Plantation Inn

Weekend prices are great, and my family usually comes a few times a year. Housekeeping is respectful and very nice, and check-in is welcoming. This last visit was miserable, though, and I won't be looking at this as our getaway spot anymore. I realized after arriving that I had one child over the room limit, so I did the right thing and rented a second room. With my four kids aged 3 to 10, it felt unnecessary, but I did it. Soon after, while we waited for my fiancé, a man was loudly beating on doors. My little ones were terrified and hid between the wall and bed for nearly 30 minutes. The room phone didn't work, which wasn't the hotel's fault. I told the staff, and learned the man had already been put out. The rest of the weekend, groups of teens who weren't guests kept showing up, loud and disrespectful, despite the rules against running and jumping. We spent half our stay in the room because they were so wild. A boy who couldn't have been 14 and weighed close to 140 nearly jumped on my three-year-old more than once. They climbed the brick walls out back and acted like animals. My family and other paying guests were the ones who had to leave when this happened. On our last morning, we tried to enjoy the pool before checkout. There were other guests with kids, including toddlers and children under 10, having fun. The teens showed up, so I got ready to leave, checked out, then went back by the pool to feed the kids lunch before we left. The non-guests came back again. I went to the front desk a little after checkout, but the man didn't seem concerned that I'd rented two rooms for the whole weekend and had such a bad stay. What used to be enjoyable turned into a complete nightmare.
