The pool and hot tub were clean and nice, though I wish the jets had been on. The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable. I loved having that rolling table in there. The chair was comfy, but felt like it might tip over, which seemed unsafe. The staff were very accommodating. Beautiful hotel, and I’d definitely stay again.

The restaurant food was delicious and fairly priced, and the shower had excellent pressure. Kali gave us a lovely welcome, including bags with water and snacks. Our room was clean and bug-free, though the bathroom walls and ceiling had dirty fingerprints from maintenance work. At night the common areas get so dark that we needed our phone lights just to read the restaurant menu. The staff are awesome, and we’d recommend staying here.

Check-in and checkout are always easy, and the front desk staff are consistently nice and accommodating. I’ve stayed here several times and have had a decent experience each time. The hotel and rooms are always clean and organized.

I booked the king suite for three nights because it was the only conveniently located hotel for Shady Maple Smorgasbord. The suite had a bedroom and an adjoining room with a foldout couch, bathroom, and furniture. The TV in that second room didn’t work. The bedroom TV was fine, but don’t expect apps like YouTube, and the channels weren’t in HD, so most shows looked grainy and old-fashioned. The bathrooms were very clean. The so-called king bed seemed to be two singles pushed together, and neither side was comfortable. The pool and hot tub are across from the front desk in the main lobby, an odd setup. There’s also a fitness center with treadmills and weights, but the equipment’s HD monitors didn’t work and the center wasn’t very clean. I still enjoyed the stay. Just keep in mind this is farm and Amish country, with horse-drawn buggies and farm equipment on the roads, and farm smells around too.

I came for an American Legion event, and the rooms weren’t ready despite the event having been scheduled for months. I waited over an hour along with many others, then it took more than three hours before I could finally get into my room. It was tidy and neat, and the shower was great. The TV initially let me choose several channels, but then got stuck on one. I don’t watch much TV, so it wasn’t a big deal. The restaurant menu is limited. The burgers and fries looked good, and my chicken parm was an 8 or 9 out of 10. The martini was okay, while the soup had to be sent back to be heated because it was barely warm. Breakfast cost over $12 and was pretty good, much better than anything Hilton serves for $17. There were real home fries with diced onions and green peppers, good sausage gravy and biscuits, fresh fruit, and OJ. The catered hotel dinner was the best American Legion convention dinner I’ve had, out of more than a dozen, also an 8 or 9 out of 10. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I’d stay again if I come this far east.
