Alex at the front desk has been especially helpful, and the manager is pleasant and attentive. The staff work hard to keep the Rodeway Inn clean and make guests comfortable. My room was spacious, with a large desk, a cushioned chair, a flat-screen TV, microwave, and mini fridge. It was cleaned regularly, despite what some other reviews say. It’s an older building, so things won’t be perfect, and people who pay a budget rate shouldn’t expect a Marriott experience. Some guests damage rooms, smoke in beds, or leave things dirty and noisy, and that can affect the next person. A motel can’t replace everything every time someone is careless. I’ve stayed in many places, from Motel 6 to Days Inn, where I’ve run into uncomfortable beds and chairs, cold rooms, poor TVs, missing remote batteries, no hot water, broken or loud heating and AC, and no fridge or microwave unless you pay extra. I’d pick the Rodeway Inn over those. It’s in a major city, not a country roadside spot. The neighborhood is generally quite safe, though crime can happen anywhere, so use common sense. Ask Alex or the manager if you need something. The Quality Inn next door is run by the same staff, but I haven’t stayed there, so I can only speak for the Rodeway Inn.
