Hyatt Regency Morristown

We brought our photo booth to a corporate holiday party at the Hyatt Regency Morristown, and coordination with the team was easy from setup through the end of the evening. The booth was a hit with guests, and the staff made sure the details were handled professionally. The ballroom felt spacious and elegant while still warm and festive, with attentive service that let people relax and enjoy the celebration. The venue worked beautifully for a large group. We’d be glad to partner with Hyatt Regency Morristown again for future events.

I waited before writing this because I was too upset at the time. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I was arriving directly from the hospital after saying goodbye to a family member who died while I was visiting. I needed a few more hours to rest before traveling, but the front desk was dismissive and wouldn’t even try to help. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Morristown in February 2025, and they required me to leave at 11 a.m. sharp. The hotel refused any late checkout, citing occupancy. At standard, non-resort properties, Globalists are guaranteed a 4 p.m. checkout, and occupancy isn’t an exception in the program terms. That benefit is there so elite guests aren’t rushed out, even when the hotel is busy. I know hotels can be busy. I don’t understand ignoring a clearly defined loyalty benefit or showing no empathy in that situation. If you count on elite recognition, this property doesn’t follow World of Hyatt standards.

Rooms are spacious and clean, and getting here from NYC Penn station is easy by train, then walking or taking a taxi from the station. There’s no microwave in the room, though. The oddly shaped refrigerator has no freezer and won’t fit a tall liter bottle of soda.

The staff’s kindness made a huge difference during a very difficult time. A young man in the parking area took care of all our luggage right away, a manager with a short blonde haircut made sure we were settled, and two security guards helped me get my mother safely into the car the next morning. Everyone we dealt with was warm, professional, and compassionate. I’m truly grateful. We stayed here on 2/22 because my 86-year-old mother had fallen and broken her leg and needed surgery the next morning. A storm was coming, so we wanted to be close to the hospital. She was using a wheelchair, and managing everything was hard.
