Towneplace Suites By Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Morrisville

The rooms are a nice size, clean, and very quiet, and there isn’t nightlife noise around the hotel. It’s new and close to NC State, which makes it a good business stay. The bar is a plus, and the employees were friendly and provided great service. A good pick for Marriott business travelers who want a restful night.

Keion made check-in quick and easy, greeting me with a warm smile, and he also remembered my partner and me when we checked out. He even picked up a conversation from earlier in our stay and asked what we thought of a restaurant we’d tried. We also had a great breakfast, with friendly staff keeping the hot bar filled and doing it all with smiles. We had a lovely weekend staycation, one of my best hotel experiences in a while. Awesome visit. Please make sure Keion gets his kudos!

We were glad there was a Starbucks in the same parking lot, since we skipped breakfast downstairs. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was smooth and friendly. It’s only a few minutes’ drive from the airport, which made this a great place to stay overnight after our flight. We’ll use this hotel again.

I’ve stayed here several times since Dec. 19, 2025, for at least 10 nights, and my earlier visits were wonderful. This time was one of my worst experiences. A family emergency meant I had to cancel yesterday. Because of my stay history and Gold Elite Marriott status, they said they couldn’t refund me but I could use the payment for another night. It was only 3 p.m., but they’d already charged my card. I was told the new management charges on the morning of the stay to discourage cancellations. Later, once things settled down, I called back and said I’d come that night, Sunday, the next night. The young woman said she was booking me for tomorrow right then, confirmed my name, and said she hoped everything was okay. But when I arrived, I had no reservation. “Key” told me I could pay for another night and try to sort out the earlier charge in the morning. I asked him several times to contact his manager, but he refused. He said I was confusing him and asked, “I don’t understand why u need a mgr is there an issue with the hotel??” I was sitting in the car in 40° weather with no room because the agent hadn’t done her job. Corporate told me the reservation had been marked no-show, and they couldn’t help. As a Gold Elite member, I’m disgusted. Marriott needs to do better!
