Extended Stay America White Plains Elmsford

We only asked to look at a room before committing to a long stay. The General Manager, Amanda, responded, "I can already tell you're going to be a big problem. I don't want you in my hotel,” then cancelled our reservation while raising her voice. The situation escalated until I genuinely felt unsafe. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect in hospitality. I reported the serious incident to corporate and posted a Google review about her behavior. Another couple waiting behind us cancelled their reservation after seeing how we were treated. This happened around 4-5PM on Saturday April 2nd.

The room was clean overall, and I felt safe. The other front desk staff were very nice, but the person I spoke to about the broken AC was no help at all. The top floor got too hot to sleep, so I barely rested and was tired for the rest of my time in NY. Not a good stay.

This is a practical, budget extended-stay place in Elmsford, New York, with kitchenettes in most rooms and a basic apartment-hotel setup. It seems geared toward longer stays, work trips, relocations, or anyone needing simple accommodation near White Plains and Westchester County. Being close to highways, gas stations, and everyday services makes getting around easy. The property is functional rather than comfortable or stylish, and the area isn’t especially scenic or aimed at tourists.

I never stayed here, and after this experience I’m glad I didn’t. They charged me $150 as a "no show" fee without clearly showing that charge to me. I showed up and asked for a refund, but the manager was snobby and rude, acting as if the company was entitled to keep my money. She literally said, "Since your so stressed over a little $150 go ahead and dispute it" and talked down to me about it. I’m disgusted by how they treated me. After reading the other reviews, I’m not surprised. Don’t book here.
