Paris Suites Hotel

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. There’s no parking, the reception was poor, and customer service was terrible. The room was very dark because it didn’t have enough lighting. Most disturbing, it felt like a brothel. Someone asked me if I wanted to hook up, and I said no. Later, when my husband went downstairs, someone invited him to join group sex. It was ridiculous, and I didn’t feel safe at all. A waste of money. Please don’t go there.

The room was okay, but the curtains and seats were old, and the lampshades had stains. The hotel is close to the main road, and it was really hard to sleep. They said my deposit would be returned within five working days. It’s now been seven and I still haven’t received it, so be careful about deposits.

The rates were very affordable for the level of service, especially since you can book ahead and pay when you arrive. Service at the front desk was excellent throughout our stay. I was impressed by the eclectic lobby, which felt like an art museum, and the rooms had distinctive decor too.

Horrible experience. There was a sewage-like smell at the entrance, and no parking, so you have to find a spot on the street. Our room didn’t have towels until we asked. There was no rug on the granite bathroom floor, so I used a pillowcase after showering because I was worried about slipping. The vending machine didn’t work either. We had to ask for an ice bucket, and they brought a metal one without a plastic liner. No breakfast, despite paying $200 a night. I couldn’t believe a place like this existed in NYC.
