The rooms were clean, and the office staff were very accommodating. It’s a convenient spot for exploring Morro Bay and reasonably priced. We’ve stayed here twice before.

I liked being next to the park, with beach access a little farther down the way. The location is great. The beds were too soft for my taste, and after a long beach day I’d hoped to take a bath, but the tub plug didn’t work, so only the shower was usable. Still, it wasn’t a bad stay.

The room could have been cleaned better and wasn’t supplied well for a family of five. We had only half a roll of toilet paper and three towels, with no sheets for the couch. That couch was a leather futon that folded flat, but it had big cracks and was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The window screens were in bad shape and let bugs in when we tried to air out the room.

I’ve stayed at morro shores many times over the years, but I won’t be back. At checkout, nine minutes after 11am while we were cleaning and loading the car, a cleaner was rude, threatened to charge us for another night, and barged into the room. I understand checkout is at 11, but it was clear we were leaving. When I tried to talk to management, he just stared and said okay. The rooms are very dated and need major repairs, and returning customers deserve better treatment. There were other problems too. I booked one night after seeing an online rate of $68, but was charged $111 and got no refund. The older woman checking me in seemed reluctant to come out, and although late check-in was advertised, nobody was at the desk. I could hear the family in the back room with the windows open. I was ignored for 25 minutes and had to keep calling and ringing the bell before I got checked in. I’ve stayed here repeatedly, but things haven’t improved. I hope others have a better experience.
