My sister’s dorm was just across the street, so visiting her was easy. The building is older and not perfect, but you get what you pay for. This was my family’s first road trip with our 1 year old daughter, and she had a great time running around the room. It felt safe and clean, and the staff were very nice.

The heater/AC filters were filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. I had breathing trouble during the night, then checked them in the morning and saw how bad they were. The room was nicely presented and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was free and plentiful, about on par with other hotels nearby.

The price is good if you book online, but not through the office. Parking was always full, and there wasn’t enough of it. The bedroom had a slight smell, though the AC worked well and breakfast was free, with a small selection. The window screen was damaged and half open, which didn’t feel safe. Water drained very, very slowly from the tub and it filled up fast. The flooring wasn’t good, and I could hear every footstep upstairs, so don’t choose the first floor! We even found a bottle cap in the blanket in the middle of the night.

The hallway smelled awful, and the room was filthy. The first room they tried to give us had a hole in the door big enough to see into the room. At first glance it looked fine, but after we checked in and settled, we found beer cans, earplugs, and a huge burger on the bathroom wall. The bathroom was disgusting, as the photos show. I lay down and all I could see was filth. Both beds would tip you off if you sat at either side. We stayed two days, and I didn’t want to spend even a second night there, so I had to clean it myself. I tried to cancel through the booking site, but they wouldn’t help because room cleaning wasn’t their responsibility. My son spoke to the front desk, and I tried to reach the manager, but she wasn’t there. They said they’d call me back. They never did. I’d strongly recommend staying somewhere else. This was one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve ever been in.

We arrived on motorcycles in the rain, and the front desk clerk was incredibly hospitable. She offered a fan for drying our shoes and bags, then put our many wet clothes through their heavy-duty dryer. About half an hour later, a smiling worker knocked and returned everything neatly folded and dry. The clerk also gave me directions to the University of Idaho Book Store and told me Autozone was less than a block away. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they earned my five stars.
