Seal Cove Inn

The coastal trails and marine reserve are right there, and even with San Francisco nearby, the inn feels tucked away and restful. It has the feel of a quiet European seaside inn, a lovely place for a romantic break or just to slow down for a bit. Inside, the rooms are comfortable and nicely done, the beds are excellent, and the fireplace makes evenings especially cozy. Breakfast was genuinely good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the self-serve espresso bar. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. Seal Cove Inn has a calm, carefully considered atmosphere. It felt like the owners cared about guests having a good stay, rather than simply taking money from tourists. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The bathroom in our room felt outdated and could use a full redo. That was my only real complaint. We otherwise had a very nice stay at Seal Cove Inn. The lobby is lovely, with pretty views toward the garden, and it’s ideally located for visiting the seal overlook and tide pools. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious. I’d definitely recommend the place.

I had to leave early each morning, and they kindly packed my breakfast to go. It was delicious, and I really appreciated them doing that. The upstairs room had its own sitting area and balcony, and the Inn has a serene setting in a building that looks like it belongs in the English countryside. The women at the front desk and elsewhere were extremely pleasant and friendly. I had several lovely conversations with them, and they were very helpful with anything I needed. From arrival through departure, everything was wonderful. I’d happily stay again and look forward to it.

We picked Seal Cove Inn on a whim, and it turned out to be just right. The place is beautifully kept and breathtaking, set in a quiet neighborhood near the coast. It has that old-fashioned romantic B&B feel. Our room was lovely and clean, with an electric fireplace, and all the staff were friendly and pleasant. With our 5 and 3 year old, I could see the kids enjoying the space, but I don’t think I would have enjoyed the stay as much with them there. It feels much more suited to couples than children. We’re planning to come back!
