Best Western Flagship Inn

The young man at the desk was friendly and accommodating, and there's a really good Mexican food restaurant right across the street. It's a safe walk since this isn't a through street. The motel is handy to I10 without being so close that road noise carries into the room. What stood out most was how clean the pet room was. We have a small dog and have stayed in pet rooms elsewhere with dog hair on pillows, dirty floors, or hair in the bathroom. This one was spotless, with new furnishings and fixtures, a roomy fridge, a big TV with lots of channels and movies, and a comfy sofa. There's a generous yard right outside the door and easy access to the parking lot. The cute towel animal and decorative towel folds showed the cleaning staff cared about details. It may not have all the amenities other motels offer, but a clean room says a lot. I'll add it to our travel list.

The outside walkways are very well lit at night, which made me feel a little better about the motel-style setup where you step straight outside when leaving your room. Inside, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are really nice, and both breakfast and coffee were good. You can hear neighboring rooms easily through the thin walls.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. They also had the basics covered in the bathroom, with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion if you hadn't brought them. The folded towel pet waiting in the room was adorable, and the receptionist was sweet and helpful, sending us off with a “have a blessed day” :)

After 14 nights on the road, this was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at on our trip back to Florida from Yuma, Arizona. I'm an IHG member and we often stay at Holiday Inns, but this room beat the Holiday Inns we'd stayed in on this trip and honestly most of the others too. We were a bit taken aback at first by the motel setup, with the outside entrance, but inside the room was huge, clean, smelled nice, and had a very comfortable mattress. The woman at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. She told me they have security on site every night and police come through throughout the night. Honestly, it's crazy to pay more for a room somewhere else at this exit.
