Motel 6 Mount Jackson, VA - Shenandoah

V was so friendly and helpful. We got a clean, quiet room for a really affordable price, so it felt like great value. I’ll definitely stay here more often 🙂

For an affordable one-night stop, this worked well. The room was surprisingly clean and nice, and the towels were clean too. The bathroom was okay, though some of the fittings looked a little old.

We only stayed one night, and I wouldn't come back. The room smelled strongly of smoke despite being listed as smoke free. With hard floors, we could hear the children upstairs running around well past 11 pm. I didn't sleep because every sound carried.

Parking right outside my room made things easy, and I felt safe here. I didn't see any homeless people or drug users hanging around, the kind of thing I sometimes notice at cheaper hotels. Staff and other people seemed fine. The price was good for a place between destinations, with gas stations, fast food, and dollar stores nearby if you need something. The room looked clean and everything seemed to work, including the TV, air conditioner, and lights. There were plenty of towels and hot water. My concern was the grime built up around the tub's hot and cold controls. If the bathtub isn't clean, it gives me a creepy feeling and makes me wonder what else was overlooked.
