Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites

We checked for bedbugs since I’m kind of neurotic. Across two rooms, with two beds in each, we didn’t find any. The mother-in-law did find ladybugs in her room, though. She didn’t mind and sees them as good luck, but my little boy was spooked by the thought of sharing the room with them. I know ladybugs like to winter in warm rooms, and it’s definitely cold right now. They didn’t bother me, but if they scare you, be warned. A previous review mentioned them, too. We stopped here twice, first on the way south for a funeral, then a few days later heading north back home. The rooms were clean and spacious, everything worked as it should, the food was pleasant, the coffee tasty, and the exercise room functional. The pool was available as well. Hopefully our next trip south will be under better circumstances, and we’ll stay here again.

We’ve stayed here three times and haven’t been disappointed. The rooms are very clean and have everything we need, and it’s always quiet. Breakfast is very good, and the people are super nice. We picked this location to avoid Nashville traffic. Highly recommended!

I was charged for two rooms plus another $129.44 for incidentals, which was supposed to be refunded 2-3 days after checkout. I checked out January 28, 2026, and still haven’t received it. There’s no contact information for anyone who can help with a past reservation. The number they provide leads to an automated system that requires an itinerary number. I have a confirmation number, but it won’t accept that. I have no way to ask why the refund hasn’t come through. It basically feels like a scam, and I want to warn others so this doesn’t happen to them. I’d give zero stars if I could.

The front desk employee was a total professional. She helped me sort out an online booking problem with IGH, which we figured was probably the IGH site, while also dealing with customers in person and on the phone. The room was large and had a mini fridge, but it’s showing its age and management needs to step up. The mattress was old and a bit lumpy, the bed itself felt old, and the AC rattled. The bathroom was small for the room, and the curtains didn’t cover the full window. The TV’s channel list didn’t match what was actually on. Local and news channels were missing, as was HBO, and most of what worked was reruns and reality shows. Even the guide channel was out, so I had to switch through them one by one to see what worked and what kind of channel it was. Annoying.
