The hotel had recently been renovated, and our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Booking was easy with a phone call. Irish House isn’t fancy, whether you’re looking at the room, breakfast bar, or pool, but that was fine with us. Restaurants, a coffee shop, and the healthy downtown are a bit over a mile away. For a rural community, it’s a good option.
The rooms are decent and the beds are comfortable. There’s no hot tub, but the pool is decent. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating.
I have family from Mount Sterling, so I finally got around to visiting the Irish House Hotel. It was clean, friendly, and very nice. I only wish I’d had more time to relax by the beautiful pool after continental breakfast.
The indoor pool was a nice extra. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy, so it’s not a bad place.
The staff were friendly, and the bed was okay. The room seemed clean, but there was drywall dust across the floor, a bootprint, and chunks that looked like drywall. It seemed like work had been done without a proper cleanup before we arrived. The walls were thin enough that we heard full conversations, including a neighbor snoring on two nights. We called ahead to ask if the pool would be open and were told yes, then found it closed at check-in because of construction. That would’ve been fine if they’d warned us when we booked. The elevator was out too, as was the ice machine.
