Americas Best Value Inn & Suites

The hotel contacted me afterward and worked with me to make things right, so I've raised my rating to three stars. At check-in, the receptionist was nice, and I appreciated that the hotel allows pets. Still, the place was dirty and poorly maintained. The hallway and room smelled of stale smoke and cat urine, the bathroom's drop ceiling was hanging down, and there were stains on the ceiling. In the morning, I found mouse poop behind the bed while getting my cat. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was spacious, with great beds that were very comfortable, and the whole hotel smelled clean. Everyone on staff was so nice and helpful. They suggested a great dinner spot, and they were completely right. It's a great place to stop for the night. Bring your bathing suit, the indoor pool is open!

For the price, it was a pretty good stay. The room was very clean, the staff were nice, and the beds were comfortable. I liked being able to set the room temperature how I wanted. There were a couple of problems: the shower only gave cold water and smelled a little odd, and a bright streetlight right outside our window came through when we turned the lights off.

The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from: biscuits and gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, Belgian waffles, yogurt, bagels, and more. Our room was nice and clean, and check-in was easy. The woman who checked us in was very kind and made sure we were near the door so we could take our dog out. We were stopping on the way back to Ohio after a long road trip. The room had a slight smoke smell and a cigarette burn on the bathtub. That seemed like the result of a disrespectful guest smoking indoors, rather than the hotel's fault.
