My dog and I have stayed at a lot of local and chain motels, and this was one of the best. The owners and staff were professional, attentive, and quick to check that things were going smoothly. It’s pet friendly for a low fee, has smoking and non-smoking rooms, and was very quiet and dark at night. Restaurants are within walking distance, and it’s right by the interstate. The room was exceptionally clean from top to bottom. There was a spacious bed, clean and empty fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The bathroom was top notch, with a comfortably high toilet and a practical, attractive shower with easy entry and a full length grab handle. The carpet was clean and comfortable, and seemed durable. There was also a large table or desk, a big working TV, enough seating, drawers, and a closet. The AC was positioned thoughtfully so it didn’t blow straight onto us, while still cooling the room quickly. It was away from the door, which helped with temperature control. A light above the AC would make its controls easier to see. A bar by the sink and toilet could be useful for everyone, not just guests with disabilities. The sidewalk near the office could use a handrail, and the surfaces along the rooms could be smoother where they meet the slightly raised sidewalks.
