Spur of the Moment Ranch

The girls got to ride, groom, and feed the horses, and they loved every bit of it. We camped at Spur of the Moment Ranch at the end of September, bringing two girls who were so excited to ride. The place lived up to their hopes. The owners were really friendly and helpful, and we'd love to come back sometime.

The owners and their daughter were so friendly and helpful, and they got back to me quickly when I asked whether dogs were allowed. There was an extra fee, and they also replied within an hour when I emailed to say we were running late. We stayed in the Birch Cabin with three adults and two children. It fit us comfortably for one night during a peaceful, beautiful weekend getaway about a week and a half ago. We were there to ride our UTV on the trails, and the location worked perfectly. It was easy to get around, with places to eat and a gas station just up the trail. It didn't seem too busy that weekend, and the outdoor shared bathrooms were amazingly clean. We'll definitely be back.

Sarah was a big help, especially taking time to go over that dreaded map with us. We found the GAIA app worked well out there too, with most of the trails showing up on it. The cabin was beautiful, really clean, and had everything we needed, including plenty of dishes, towels, blankets, and pillows. Just bring wine glasses, since there weren't any. I thought I'd use the horse stalls, but wound up using the corrals the whole time. The fall colors were a nice bonus. We had a wonderful stay last week, and I highly recommend this place.

We've been here twice, and our group came with 11 UTVs, ATVs, and SXSs this time. The host was very attentive, the location is just right, and the place is clean and nice with everything you need. The large gathering area and big outdoor fireplace were perfect. Five stars, you can't go wrong here.
